Space - Place - Spirituality - Identity

During the last decades, we have moved from a mostly monocultural to a multicultural society. Working with today’s students, proposes challenges on various levels. The conference will focus on topics related to the role of the church in a time when spirituality seems to have become more important, yet traditional religion seems to have lost it’s position. We don’t expect to create a new missionary movement, but wish to provide a valid response on youths striving to make their faith meaningful. Against this background, some topics stand out: Creating places that will resonate with the students, creating a meaningful language of faith, dialogue and working towards making peace, and the search for a valid and meaningful spirituality. With all this in mind, we ask; What’s up?

Through sharing experiences, living together, eating good food, socializing and having fun, we’ll learn a lot from each other. Activities include a boat trip, concerts and services in the Kristiansand Cathedral and the old medieval church in Søgne, various keynote speakers, workshops, the European Market, parties and more. Together we’ll create a collegial atmosphere gathering chaplains from all overEurope.

The Norwegian host committee proudly presents a wide-ranging program consisting of various activities and speakers.
